The one-year journey of Si Mian Fo at Riverwalk Island PIK marks the presence of a spiritual sanctuary for the community that strengthens kindness, nurtures peace, and fosters harmony in daily life. Over the past year, a variety of religious and cultural activities such as the Dongzhi Festival, Thudong 2025, Vesak Puja, and Tridharma Talk have brought color and warmth to thousands of visitors.
The first anniversary celebration, held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, was led by Venerable Bhikkhu Khanit Sannano Mahathera. The ceremonial procession ranging from the lighting of candles and incense to the recitation of Dhamma Desana, symbolized the purification of the heart and the hope that the light of wisdom continues to illuminate life’s path.

Parlin Widjaja, Chairman of Si Mian Fo, shared that this moment serves as a reminder of shared values and collective journeys. “This celebration is not only to commemorate one year of Si Mian Fo’s presence, but also to reflect on the dedication and devotion we have shared together,” he said.
The commemoration was attended by around 9,000 Buddhist and Tridharma devotees from various regions. Their presence reflected a spirit of togetherness across communities and an awareness that peace grows from hearts that respect one another.
On the same occasion, Ipeng Widjojo, Business Development Director of Agung Sedayu Group, expressed appreciation for Si Mian Fo’s role in strengthening interfaith relationships. He highlighted the strong cultural and religious values shared through the many events and ceremonies held there, emphasizing that Riverwalk Island PIK was designed as a living space that attends to the spiritual needs of diverse communities.

Situated in an area known for its diversity, Si Mian Fo stands as a testament that harmony does not erase differences, it nurtures them. The prayers offered today flow for homes, families, fellow beings, and the nation.
Miranda DWK, Advertising & Promotion Director of Agung Sedayu Group, explained that Riverwalk Island PIK was indeed developed to fulfill various human needs, including spiritual ones. “If you ask why we chose this location, it’s because this place lies right in the middle, connecting PIK 1 and PIK 2,” she said.

This one-year journey teaches that kindness need not take a grand form. It lives in simple steps, sincere intentions, and a calm heart. May the peace that begins in one heart spread as a light that touches many lives.
