Jakarta, January 15, 2026 — Surrounded by a spirit of gratitude and shared blessings, Al-Ikhlas Mosque at Pantai Indah Kapuk was officially inaugurated.
Al-Ikhlas Mosque PIK stands as a response to the growing spiritual needs of the Muslim community in the PIK area, in line with the area’s rapid population growth and increasing activities. The name “Al-Ikhlas,” meaning sincerity in worship, was personally bestowed by the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. K.H. Nasaruddin Umar, MA, as a prayer that the mosque may become a place that embodies sincerity, peace, and abundant blessings for all worshippers. The Minister himself also attended the inauguration and was accompanied by Sugianto Kusuma as Founder and Chairman of Agung Sedayu Group, together with President Director of Agung Sedayu Group, Lieutenant General TNI (Mar) (Ret.) They all expressed deep gratitude for the rapid completion of Al-Ikhlas Mosque PIK.

Since its groundbreaking on March 7, 2025, the construction of Al-Ikhlas Mosque PIK with a total development cost of IDR 45 billion, has been carried out with full commitment and dedication. As part of the inauguration, an Adhan competition was also held, with the winner selected to serve as the permanent Muadzin of Al-Ikhlas Mosque PIK. The occasion was further marked by the distribution of 1,000 rice aid packages, symbolically represented by the handover of 10 packages during the inauguration ceremony.
The Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. K.H. Nasaruddin Umar, MA, expressed his appreciation to Agung Sedayu Group for the completion of Al-Ikhlas Mosque within a one-year period. “Once again, my sincere gratitude to everyone at Agung Sedayu Group, especially to Mr. Aguan, who has so sincerely contributed to the construction of this mosque, as well as to the development of Istiqlal Mosque, and even in Aceh, where we worked together to rebuild mosques that had been submerged. The support from Agung Sedayu Group has extended beyond this project, including housing developments in collaboration with the Minister of Housing. We also worked together as one team to support the construction of tens of thousands homes that needed to be built in North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and especially Aceh.” said the Minister of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. K.H. Nasaruddin Umar, MA.
Built on a site of ±2.435 m², with a main building area of ±1.248 m², Al-Ikhlas Mosque PIK embraces an Islamic Classical Architecture concept that harmoniously blends beauty, simplicity, and spiritual serenity. The mosque is designed to accommodate ±600 worshippers. Framed by elegant columns, a circular prayer hall beneath a majestic dome, and two towering minarets, the mosque stands as a symbol of Islamic greatness and gently invites every worshipper to draw themself closer to Allah SWT. Intricate geometric and arabesque ornaments adorning the main entrance further highlight the elegance of Islamic architecture, rich in spiritual meaning.
Lieutenant General TNI (Mar) (Ret.) Dr. Nono Sampono, S.Pi., M.Si. as President Director of Agung Sedayu Group, stated in his remarks that a truly advanced district is built not only on strong infrastructure and economic growth, but also on solid moral and spiritual foundations. “Mosques play a strategic role in shaping the character of the community, serving as places of worship, learning, discussion, fostering a strong sense of brotherhood and social care. Al-Ikhlas Mosque PIK is envisioned as an oasis of tranquility amid the dynamics of a continuously evolving urban environment. A place where everyone is welcomed without barriers, to find peace, strengthen faith, and nurture hope,” he said.

The presence of Al-Ikhlas Mosque PIK further enhances Riverwalk Island PIK as a district that upholds harmony and interfaith tolerance. Within the area, Si Mian Fo has already been established as a place of worship for the Buddhist community, and additional houses of worship are planned to follow, coexisting peacefully side by side. This reflects a strong spirit of unity in diversity, in harmony with Islamic values that promote rahmatan lil ‘alamin (mercy for all the worlds).
With the inauguration of Al-Ikhlas Mosque PIK, the PIK area is expected to grow not only in terms of infrastructure and economic development, but also to flourish as a community enriched with spiritual values, peace, and blessings for all.
