AGUNG SEDAYU GROUP ENLIVENS “NUSANTARA LUNAR NEW YEAR HARMONY,” STRENGTHENING SYNERGY OF NATIONAL CULTURE AND TOURISM
Agung Sedayu Group took part in Nusantara Lunar New Year Harmony, Indonesia’s first national-scale Lunar New Year festival organized by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, held from 22 February to 3 March 2026, from 15.00–22.00 WIB at Lapangan Banteng.
The participation was showcased through a series of engaging activities and exhibition booths, offering immersive cultural experiences while promoting thematic tourism destinations and attractive property investment opportunities in the PIK2 area. This involvement aligns with the national “Nusantara Lunar New Year Harmony” campaign and the launch of the 2026 National Lunar New Year logo, themed Kuda Lumping (a traditional Javanese horse) with batik ornaments as a symbol of cultural acculturation.
The commitment was further strengthened through the “Journey of Lunar New Year” program, a curated series of Lunar New Year celebrations across the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) area. This strategic initiative aims to promote culture-based tourism and drive growth in the creative economy sector.
Fenny Maria, Head of the Tourism Development Center of Agung Sedayu Group, emphasized the importance of integrating culture and tourism in building a strong area identity. “Through ‘Journey of Lunar New Year,’ we aim to present PIK as a thematic tourism destination that elevates traditional values through a creative approach relevant to the present day. This initiative is also aligned with the national ‘Nusantara Lunar New Year’ campaign initiated by the government, as part of efforts to strengthen the creative economy and culture-based tourism. We focus on creating emotionally engaging experiences for visitors, so that every moment in PIK becomes a journey toward a hopeful future,” said Fenny Maria.
In the PIK area, the celebration became even more meaningful with the presence of the Indonesian Chinese Cultural Gallery as curator and collaborator of Nusantara Lunar New Year Harmony. Various attractions such as Lion and Dragon Dance performances and a durian festival at the Marketing Gallery Pasadena PIK2 – PIK Icon further enlivened the atmosphere.
In addition, Lion and Dragon Dance performances captivated visitors at various iconic locations such as PIK Avenue, Pantjoran PIK, Aloha, Land’s End, and Batavia PIK. The parade of Cai Shen Ye and Fu Lu Shou also enlivened the Tokyo Hub, East Coast, and PIK Icon areas, complemented by cultural performances at Central Market, By The Sea, and Orange Groves.
Lifestyle programs such as a fashion competition at Aloha and live music entertainment at Sunset Pier further enriched the experience, creating warm spaces for interaction among people from diverse backgrounds.
Through its active participation in Nusantara Lunar New Year Harmony and the strengthening of the “Journey of Lunar New Year” program, Agung Sedayu Group reaffirmed its commitment to building an inclusive and sustainable culture-based tourism ecosystem that delivers broad economic impact to the community.
